Your Will deals with what happens to your property when you die; Lasting Powers of Attorney give others authority to look after your affairs and your property while you are still alive but you have lost mental capacity.
There are two different types of Lasting Power of Attorney: the Health and Welfare LPA is for decisions regarding medical care and care home treatment; and the Property and Financial Decisions LPA is for everyday decisions about money as well as about property.
At Ewart Price, we have a great deal of experience in completing and registering LPAs on behalf of clients and by meeting with you and discussing your situation, we will ensure that you consider the implications and responsibilities that will arise for yourself and your appointed attorneys.
